The Anti-Vaxx Awards

The anti-vaxx movement includes a motley crew of prominent names, like accomplished comedian Cathy Jones, Holocaust Denier Chris Sky & ex-lingerie football captain Krista Ford. Misinformation is dangerous; we must keep a close eye on voices backed by political dynasties.

But what does it mean to censor or de-platform misinformation? Where do we draw the line between freedom of expression vs. the harmful effect of fake news? Who gets to be the arbiter of truth and harm?

These questions aren’t impossible to grapple with (some things are objectively untrue or harmful, for example), but meaningful consideration demands a nuanced perspective. I’m not sure there are any black-and-white answers.
